Institute of Certified Records Managers Elects Martha Adcox, CRM, Secretary, global records manager from pharmaceutical industry, to begin term in January 2011.

Indianapolis, IN. — The Institute of Certified Records Managers (ICRM), an international certifying body for Records and Information Management Professionals, has posted its recent election results confirming Martha Adcox, CRM, as Secretary, to begin term in January 2011.

Martha Adcox, CRM, has been developing and managing records management programs for more than 25 years. In 2001, she became the Global Records Manager at Eli Lilly and Company, a large international pharmaceutical company based in Indianapolis, Indiana. Previously she was a Records Manager at GlaxoSmithKline and prior to that Carolina Power and Light Company.

She has served on the Institute of Certified Records Managers (ICRM) Board as Regent for Certification Standards, and is currently Secretary. Martha is a member of ARMA International and the Association for Information and Image Management (AIIM); serving in various capacities over the years. She was also a member of the ARMA Task Forces that finalized the ANSI standards entitled Vital Records: Identifying, Managing, and Recovering Business-Critical Records and Requirements for Managing Electronic Messages as Records and the ANSI technical Report Procedures and Issues for Managing Electronic Messages as Records.

She earned her Masters in Library Science from East Carolina University.
