The Institute of Certified Records Managers (ICRM) appoints Kiersten Ward, CRM, as its new Professional Development Coordinator. The new position reports directly to the ICRM Regent for PR, Marketing and Professional Development and will manage the Institute’s CRM Examination Preparation Product and other ICRM led exam prep activities. The Professional Development Coordinator will work closely with ARMA chapters and industry-specific associations to ensure successful deployment of the Product, and to ensure these organizations have the support they need to implement successful programs for CRM candidate mentorship and high-quality exam prep workshops to assist them in preparing for the exams. This position will also liaison with the ICRM Exam Development Committee (EDC) to ensure tight alignment between exam content and Product materials. Kiersten Ward, CRM, through JDM Systems, Consultants, Inc., is the ILM Records Manager for General Motors Company in Detroit, Michigan. Ms. Ward has over twelve (12) years of Records and Information Management (RIM) experience in a variety of non-regulated and regulated industries (Nuclear, Pharmaceutical-Biotech, Energy and Manufacturing). Kiersten has volunteered as an exam question writer on the ICRM Exam Development Committee for the last three-and-a-half (3.5) years. Additionally, she has spent over six (6) years volunteering for ARMA International both at the chapter and regional level. Currently, she is the Region Coordinator for the Great Lakes Region of ARMA International. As a RIM professional, Kiersten is committed to ensuring RIM education opportunities are timely, relevant and available to those just entering the industry as well as for RIM veterans.
