Experience
Blake has over 36-years of management experience with five Fortune 500 companies and 25 years of experience as a corporate records manager. Blake is a Veteran of the United States Air Force. As a corporate records manager, Blake has extensive experience in developing and implementing organizational RIM programs, including RIM policies, procedures, retention schedules, training, records management coordinator programs, information governance committees and programs, external and internal consulting, and related vendor management.

Blake is the author of two RIM related publications, Records & Information Management 2.0 For Dummies, and Records Management For Dummies. Blake has been a member of ARMA since 1998 and obtained his CRM designation in 2005. Blake has served on the Board of Directors for the ARMA Music City Chapter (Nashville) and the ARMA Phoenix Chapter. Blake has served on the following ICRM Committees, Part 6 grader, Legislative & Appeals, and
the Exam Development committee as a Part 6 writer. Currently, Blake is assigned to a ICRM Task Force.

What would you do to advance the future of the ICRM?
My approach to advancing the future of the ICRM is multi-fold:

• keeping an eye on the RIM profession, where is the profession headed based on employer needs and how that impacts ICRM members, and what the ICRM can do to ensure members are best equipped to meet these challenges.
• understanding partnership opportunities with other organizations and academic institutions to further member and future member education.
• listening to ICRM members and providing them a forum for expressing their needs and suggestions and acting upon these needs and suggestions.
