Explain any relevant committee or leadership experience you have that will benefit the ICRM in the advancement of its vision and mission.
Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of serving on various committees and boards, both within our industry and outside of the records and information governance community. These experiences have contributed to my personal and professional development as a committee member and leader, while simultaneously supporting the advancement of other organizations in achieving their vision and missions. Currently, I hold a position on the ICRM. My tenure on the board has further reinforced my conviction in the value of our profession and the vision and mission of the ICRM.
What is your leadership background in terms of managing organizational growth and related challenges and opportunities?
Organizational growth for a non-profit can be challenging. Working with other groups has highlighted the importance of member and community engagement as key drivers of progress. Consequently, the development of tailored programs that cater to the unique needs of the industry, community, and members is paramount for our continued advancement. The ICRM boasts a rich and robust history that can be strategically utilized to move us forward in the future.
What experience do you have in building high-functioning work teams and stakeholder relationships at your workplace and/or with association boards?
I have spent the majority of my career as a consultant in the records and information management profession. By default - understanding needs, building teams, aligning strategies, and executing a plan is what I have done for years inside of small non-profits, Fortune 500 companies, and some of the largest professional services organizations in the US. Most of my professional experience has been in the building of teams and growing relationships.
What would you do to advance the future of the ICRM?
The ICRM has the opportunity to leverage its rich 50 year history as it moves, along with our industry, into a world where records and information management (and governance) is being seen as a critical component to protecting the interests (and assets) of any organization. It is important to elevate the roles of our members and promote the RIM industry as key components to organizational success. The ICRM must look to its members and partners as it defines the strategy moving forward.

Experience
I have enjoyed working in the Records and Information Management space for more than 25 years. During that time I have had the opportunity to work with some of the leading consultants and organizations in our industry while serving a wide and diverse group of clientele including Fortune 100 companies both in the US and abroad, some of the countries largest (and smallest) law firms, non-profits, Federal & Local Governments and Agencies, and many organizations in the service industry. These projects have ranged from the smallest understanding of what records management means to that particular organization to the development of policies and procedures coupled with large scale technology implementations. I am also a frequent speaker and have addressed local, regional, international and foreign conferences.
Complementing my work experience, I have actively participated in various boards and committees, both within RIM and beyond. This involvement has provided me with valuable insights into the effective strategies and common pitfalls as organizations evolve. I am eager to leverage these experiences to grow my understanding of the ICRM membership and its challenges. In doing so, we will work to develop a strategic plan and a roadmap for the organization’s future. The ICRM boasts a rich history, a dynamic membership base, and an exceptionally promising future. I look forward to the opportunity to contribute to its continued success.
