Experience
By day, Tyrene is a Business Systems Analyst for the City of Beaverton's IT department, where she translates techno-jargon into plain English and helps systems play nicely together. By night, she's probably singing about it.

A lifelong musical theatre performer, Tyrene brings the same energy to her professional life that she brings to the stage: enthusiasm, discipline, and an unshakeable belief that every great production is the result of a well-coordinated team working behind the scenes.

Tyrene has served as the Part 3 Lead on the ICRM Exam Development Committee for several years, guiding the team responsible for the largest and one of the more challenging parts of the CRM exams. She was elected by the membership of ARMA International to the ARMA International Board of Directors, where she chaired the Chapter Task Force through a sweeping (and sometimes fiery) restructuring initiative. She is a Past President of the ARMA Oregon Chapter. Currently, she is Board Secretary for the Broadway Rose Theatre Company, now in its 35th year, where the organization's leadership navigated COVID without laying off a single employee—an incredible feat she's proud to witness as part of the board. She is also actively assisting with governance documents and succession planning as one of the company's founders prepares to retire after over 35 years of leadership.

Her volunteer resume also includes mentoring records management professionals across the country, presenting at conferences from coast to coast, and coaching candidates through the CRM exams—some of whom have actually passed (and she couldn't be prouder). She believes in showing up, doing the work, and making sure whoever comes next is prepared to carry the torch.

Tyrene is running for Regent of Marketing and Communications because she believes the ICRM has a story worth telling—and she'd like to help tell it. Loudly. Possibly with a song.
