Presentation Title: Shining a Light on Dark Data: The IG Advantage

Presentation Description: Every organization has it – years of unmanaged, unknown, and unnecessary data hiding in plain sight. As organizations grapple with growing volumes of information across file shares, collaboration platforms, cloud repositories, and legacy systems, dark data has become a significant source of risk, cost, and operational inefficiency. Information Governance professionals are uniquely positioned to address these challenges by bringing together governance principles, business requirements, legal obligations, and technology capabilities.

Join this lunch session to learn how IG leaders are identifying dark data, building business cases for remediation, securing stakeholder support, and driving initiatives that reduce risk while improving information management practices. Attendees will gain practical insights into the strategies, governance frameworks, and lessons learned that can help transform dark data from a hidden liability into a valuable opportunity for their organizations.
