This international community is dedicated to transforming the information management profession. The GIC's mission is to harness collective expertise to promote the importance of information governance through enhanced networking, career advancement, collaboration, and the promotion of best practices. Supporting the Career Advancement of the Information Profession
Leaders from the ICRM and the National Association of Government Archives and Records Administrators (NAGARA) are co-chairs of a dynamic GIC Working Group dedicated to revolutionizing career advancement in the information profession. The group’s primary areas of focus are raising awareness in Human Resources and at the C-suite level, supporting the recruitment of the next generation, and developing and amplifying career pathways. This collaborative effort aims to build a global framework that will empower professionals and elevate the field to new heights.

Ready to Shape the Future of Our Profession? Get Involved!
We’re currently looking for 5 to 10 dedicated ICRM members in good standing (CRM, CRA, FED, and NS)  to join the Working Group for up to 12 months. This group's initial work will involve aggregating and assessing existing career resources, setting the stage for groundbreaking developments and opportunities.

We are thrilled to announce that the ICRM is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year! Since our incorporation in 1975, we have achieved incredible milestones and built a rich history that deserves a grand celebration.

Here are just a few of the ICRM achievements over its 50 years of success!

• Strengthened certification by adding CRA and specialty designations
• Developed multiple partnerships with schools and other organizations
• Implemented remote testing and other exam changes
• Improved the member credential maintenance process
• Reviewed and maintained relevant exam content

To mark this golden anniversary, we are delighted to unveil our brand-new "50th Year" logo! This special design will be featured on our swag and communications throughout the year, symbolizing our journey of excellence and commitment to the records and information management profession.

But that's not all! We have an exciting lineup of events and activities planned to celebrate this momentous occasion. Join us for various activities leading up to an epic anniversary reception at ARMA InfoCon this October in Phoenix, Arizona. It's going to be a year filled with celebrations, reflections, and looking forward to the future.
